The Student Edition of Neurotech Demo Day is designed to showcase Montreal and Toronto's undergraduate neurotech student clubs, who have been exploring new technologies and working tirelessly to create DIY brain-computer interfaces.

Demo Day will be held from 2 - 5 pm on November 19th at the ETS main hall. During this time, attendees will have the opportunity to learn about the student projects, encourage our undergrads' intellectual curiosity, and to network with Montreal's growing neurotech community.

Choose Your Challenge

The NeuroTechX Demo Day has two major independent components. First, the DIY challenge where students are called to explore the fundamentals and electronics behind biosignal acquisition. Second, the Consumer challenge where they are called to integrate all the multidisciplinary aspects of neurotechnologies in innovative ways.

DIY Challenge

Build your own electrophysiological signal board from the ground up using basic electronic components and focusing on EEG, EMG, EOG or ECG.

Consumer Challenge

Make an innovative and advanced project based on consumer grade electrophysiological devices, such as OpenBCI or Interaxon Muse.

Why Should You Participate?

NeuroTechnology

Neurotechnology has never been this accessible before. We want to catalyze the interest and involvement of skilled students by providing them with a precise goal to work towards and the resources to get there.

STEM Excellence

The NeuroTechX Student Club Competition promotes interdisciplinary collaboration, preparing the participants for careers and excellence in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) through self-learning, knowledge sharing, and practical experimentation.

NeuroEngineers

We believe neurotechnology is key to better understanding and to improving who we are. We aim to inspire a whole new generation of neuroengineers, who will be equipped to drive the field forward.
