NeuroTechX is a non-profit organization whose mission is to facilitate the advancement of neurotechnology by providing key resources and learning opportunities, and by being leaders in local and worldwide technological initiatives. Our 3 pillars are “Community”, “Education”, and “Professional Development”.
To become a practical reality, brain technology needs to be supported by a diverse and dynamic community of experts, entrepreneurs, and enthusiasts. NeuroTechX is a connector of this community and a facilitator of important and inclusive conversations about the future of neurotechnology.
NeuroTechX firmly believes that the brain conversation must include absolutely everyone. That is why we offer accessible resources and learning opportunities for beginners or experts and everyone in between. Together, we can inspire and create neurotechnology that benefits all of society.
NeuroTechX fosters a culture of innovation through its many initiatives and by connecting talent through its events and global network. We hope to inspire our community members to address today’s challenges and opportunities with creativity and confidence. NTX also helps industry and academia to find talent.
NeuroTechX has been an excellent mechanism to inform and engage newcomers and established experts in BCI research. For decades, many authors in the field have noted the need for an improved infrastructure for the BCI community, including ways to share information about BCIs and get new people interested. NeuroTechX has helped address this need with its various activities.
Brendan Allison
BCI Research Scientist, 20+ years
I found a great job at a Neurotech startup right out of my PhD all thanks to NTX. I’m incredibly grateful for Yannick’s efforts in building this amazing community and his dedication to helping me find my dream job!
Adrien Martel
Neural Engineer PhD
The NeuroTechX community offers unparalleled networking abilities and resources to all who are interested in brain-computer interfaces. Not only has it allowed me to learn the fundamentals of neurotech, but has also been key in breaking into the field.
Harris Rothaermel
Undergrad CS Student at BYU
NeuroTechX helped me realize that BCIs are a thing of today and that undergraduate students could be a part of the field of neurotechnology. The support of NeuroTechX's vast global community helped me develop my first BCIs and learn the fundamentals of the field.
Sayan Faraz
NeurotechUofT
NeuroTechX and its global network of neuro-enthusiasts had a life-changing impact on my career orientation and expended my professional reach to companies in cutting-edge technologies. Through various contracts, I gathered specialized skills and knowledge that enabled me to carry out projects in neurotechnology.
Nicomaque Jette
Neurotech Enthusiast
NeuroTechX introduced me to a community of mentors, collaborators, and friends that have been a huge part of my professional development. It gave me the chance to work on interesting projects, pick up new skills, and ultimately allowed me to make a successful transition from academia to industry.
Dano Morrison
Biomedical Software Developer, Avertus
I’ve continued to use NeuroTechX as a foundation to get to my goal of controlling computers with thought. I’ve been able to grow my BCI consulting business while becoming the world-leading experts in OpenBCI hardware and in turn helping newcomers learn the intricacies of real-time brain imaging.

Push the World
The concepts I've learned and the work I did while being involved in SynapsETS, one of the NeuroTechX Student Clubs, allowed me to get an internship in neurotechnology and then get hired as a full-time engineer. SynapsETS was the incubator that opened doors for me in the field.
Julien Allaire
Electrical Engineer at Rogue Research
The NeuroTechX community is passionate, dedicated, knowledgeable and capable. They're helping to expand public engagement with neurotechnology in ways no other group can.

EEG-Notebooks is a collection of classic EEG experiments, implemented in Python 3 and Jupyter notebooks. The experimental protocols and analyses are quite generic, but are primarily taylored for low-budget / consumer EEG hardware such as the InteraXon MUSE and OpenBCI Cyton. The goal is to make cognitive neuroscience and neurotechnology more accessible, affordable, and scalable.
The DL-EEG portal is a community-driven platform that keeps track of the scientific literature on deep learning and electroencephalography (EEG). It is both a database of published results in DL-EEG and a tool that simplifies entering metadata from DL-EEG studies. The main mission of the portal is to foster reproducibility in DL-EEG research.
