Job Description
As an ASIC Designer, you will spearhead the development of the integrated circuitry for our implantable brain-computer interface. You will work alongside another ASIC Designer, the Head of Product Development and the Chief Scientific Officer to implement design requirements, using the team you develop to design one of the most important pieces of hardware in our device.
Key Qualifications
- 5+ years experience in either digital or analog ASIC design and verification
- Digital designer qualifications: design of large and complex digital systems, from verilog/VDHL coding, to synthesis, place+route, digital I/O design, GDS handoff, and verification
- Analog designer qualifications: design and layout of building blocks like op-amps, references, digital I/O, etc., along with design and layout of larger analog or mixed-signal blocks like ADCs, DACs, complex feedback structures, etc.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in ASIC development for implantable medical devices
- Experience in low-power design techniques
- Familiarity with neural signal processing or neuromodulation system design
- 2+ years of experience in a project management role for the development of hardware or software systems in a cross-functional, cross-organizational context
