At Statespace we’re using cognitive science, artificial intelligence, and video games to revolutionize the way that humans improve.

Our first product, Aim Lab, is a personalized training platform that helps gamers learn about their strengths and weaknesses and train for the game they love. Aim Lab has over 20 million players around the world and is available for free on Steam and even on Roblox. Aim Lab also has official partnerships with some of the biggest publishers, including Riot, Ubisoft, and Activision Blizzard.

Product Designer – Web Products

We are looking for a Product Designer to join our growing in-house design team. We are a fun loving, creative group with a passion for gaming, impactful designs and all things awesome. You should have a passion for finding solutions that allow our users to intuitively use our product offerings. The ideal candidate will be skilled at each stage of the design process but always focused on the needs of our users. You will work with the VP of Design, as well as, cross-functional team members to achieve the design goals laid out within each project scope. Your goal will be to create impactful designs that capture and promote our company vision while maintaining the established design standards we have in place.

You should be highly creative, have a sharp eye for details and a hunger to continually grow to become the best designer you can be. If you’re passionate about design, gaming and eager to learn more, we’d love to chat!

Key Responsibilities

• Conceptualizing creative ideas with project stakeholders.
• Testing and improving the design of our web products offerings.
• Establishing design guidelines, systems, standards, and best practices.
• Maintaining the appearance of our website(s) by enforcing brand standards and design systems.
• Designing visual data.
• Communicating design ideas using user flows, process flows, site maps, and wireframes.
• Employ design concepts into functional prototypes.
• Preparing design plans and presenting the website structure.
• Designing engaging and responsive web based products and services.

Ideal Skills

• 2-3+ years of product design experience(web, mobile, apps, etc.)
• Proficiency in design software including the Adobe suite, and other visual/prototyping design tools.
• Relevant work experience as a product designer is preferred.
• Knowledge of front-end development and languages such as HTML, CSS, JQuery, and JavaScript.
• Understanding of framework libraries.
• Understanding of design systems.
• Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues.
• Proficient understanding of responsive design.
• Excellent visual design skills.
• Up-to-date experience with international web protocols, standards, and technologies.
• Creative and open to new ideas.
• Adaptable and willing to learn new techniques.
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
• A willingness to continue to learn and grow as a designer.
• A passion for the user and delivering outstanding design experiences.

Bonus Skills
