This role will be to assist and support the Neuroinformatics research team in carrying out software development, testing and documentation, and drafting reports.
The research associate/fellow will implement simulations of biological effects on non-invasive interventions on targeted brain regions and on indirect effects in the rest of the brain network. In addition, tools for comparing effects of stimulations within a computer model and effects observed in experimental studies will be developed.
Key requirements are:
- a PhD or equivalent in relevant subject area or the equivalent in professional qualifications and experience in the neurosciences, computing, psychology, life sciences, mathematics, engineering, or physics or being near to completion of a PhD;
- experience in computational modelling; and,
- ideally, experience with handling neuroscience data sets.
You will join an established team, led by Professor Marcus Kaiser, whose main areas of research interest include computational models to inform diagnosis and intervention of brain disorders.
This is a full time post and will be offered on a fixed term contract for a period of 12 months, if start date will be on or before 01 January 2022, as the funding ends on 31 December 2022.
