Position Summary

As a Mechanical Engineer, the primary responsibility is to collaborate seamlessly with cross-functional teams, playing a vital role in designing, developing, maintaining, and enhancing the mechanical aspects of devices.

What Will You Do

• Design of mechanical assemblies for high-reliability medical devices.
• Collaboration with other engineering disciplines and product management to define requirements and verification/validation approaches.
• Collaboration with the production department for definition, documentation, validation of manufacturing processes.
• Creation of specification and test documentation.
• Interaction with external design resources.
• Interaction with external suppliers to ensure appropriate manufacturing techniques.

What Do You Need

• University degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering.
• Experience in the design of electromechanical systems.
• Familiarity with design for manufacturability in the context of different fabrication technologies (3D printing, CNC, injection molding, etc.).
• Cabling and enclosure design.
• Design for human factors.
• Familiarity with key material parameters and ability to select materials which will perform according to requirements (especially for plastics).
• Knowledge of reliability testing techniques (e.g. accelerated life testing).
• Deep understanding of tolerance stackup calculation techniques and statistical process variation in production.
• Experience with design of medical devices in the context of ISO 13485 QMS requirements a plus.
• Passionate about designing robust products with a high degree of quality and reliability.
• Ability to learn quickly and solve complex challenges with creative solutions.
