Wisear develops a solution that allows audio manufacturers to transform your true wireless earphones into brain recording devices – A Fitbit for your brain.

Our Story:

Wisear is a young innovative start-up that received the DeepTech label by the French Government (BPI France). Over our first 12 months of existence we managed to secure our first contracts to finance our development, apply for two patents & get selected in the Techstars Montreal AI Accelerator program.

Our Vision

Today we are able to record brain electrical activity – called electroencephalogram or EEG – using electrodes placed on the scalp. The extent of the potential use cases is massive (medical diagnosis, brain performance enhancement, relaxation coaching, etc.). But the size and looks of current devices prevents their usage by the public on a daily basis, as would be necessary to unlock the most promising use cases.

Recent progress in the technology now allows recording EEG signals using electrodes placed in the ear – referred to as “ear-EEG”. It is then possible to include this technology in devices such as true wireless earphones, which will open brain recording to a large audience and let people follow insights and biomarkers based on brain activity on a daily basis.

Wisear builds the first ear-EEG data processing solution for earphones manufacturers, along with accompanying them to turn their earphones into brain recording devices. The first use case covered is the diagnosis and improvement of the user’s attention. We are convinced that in the near future, ear-EEG will be a key technology for early diagnosis and treatment monitoring of brain pathologies (e.g. epilepsy, ADHD, depression, Parkinson’s, etc.).

Job description

You will join the team to develop & structure our Business Development pipeline & Marketing strategy. In your daily job you will need to achieve the following tasks:

• Build our Business Development pipeline: We build a solution for Enterprise-type clients (eg: Samsung, Sony, Xiaomi…) & signing such deals requires a lot of time, effort & personalization. We will need your help to:
  • Analyze & find new business opportunities for Wisear’s technology
  • Find the right leads at each of the targeted companies
  • Develop the right communication strategy to reach out to these leads
• Define & execute our Marketing Strategy: Up until now, Wisear has been focusing on the Tech & Product. As we try to expand our sales, we will need to gain better visibility & get a more coherent brand communications strategy. You will work with us:
  • Define the right brand communication strategy on the right platforms (eg: * Thought Leadership with Blog Post, Demo Video of our brain-wearable tech…)
  • Implement this strategy & measure its impact on the target audience

Candidate profile

We are looking for a highly motivated student with strong knowledge and skills in the following areas :

• You are able to plan as well as you execute. Devil’s in the details.
• You are exceptionally persistent. One of the key elements to a successful deal is the ability to never give up from the first contact to the deal closing.
• You demonstrate autonomy & you are transparent on your successes, failures, strengths and weaknesses. You do not hesitate to ask for help when needed.
• You are a careful listener. You are able to understand your interlocutor point of view & adapt your speech accordingly.
• You’re very familiar with all the Google Suite tools & Slack. You are at ease with trying new software on a regular basis.
• You achieve Full Professional Proficiency in English

Bonus points:

• You’ve already been working with / for Earphones manufacturers
• You’ve already been working with a CRM tool
• You know how to develop a proper Marketing plan and execute it on all channels
• You’ve already been writing some code
