About the role

As a Senior Frontend Web Developer, you’ll contribute your technical leadership and expertise to releasing our new digital platform that includes both community- and customer-facing web applications. In collaboration with the CTO and others, you’ll be responsible implementing critical features as we head toward launch.

In this role, you should be able to work independently and with little supervision. You should have excellent organization and problem-solving skills. Your goal will be to develop high-quality software that is aligned with user needs and business goals.

What we’re looking for

• 7+ years of relevant industry experience in a fast-paced, high growth tech environment building UI components and tools using JavaScript
• Fluency in HTML, CSS, and Vue.js
• Demonstrated design and UX sensibilities
• Knowledge of standard Web APIs as well as RESTful API design and usage
• Experience shipping high-quality products from planning to launch to maintenance
• Demonstrated knowledge of Computer Science fundamentals

What you’ll be doing

• Design, build and maintain high-quality software that is performant, responsive and enjoyable to use
• Manage the frontend architecture ranging from release builds and page performance to component organization
• Collaborate on design and UX to create new products and features
• Automate tasks through appropriate tools and scripting
• Facilitate a sustainable software delivery process using tests, code reviews, and best practices

Additional details

• This is a 3 to 6 month full-time contract position, and we’re open to extending the position based on performance
• Compensation is CAD$8000 to $10000 per month, commensurate with candidate experience
