At Aural Analytics, we’re developing tools to detect signs of neurological disorders like Alzheimer’s, stroke, Parkinson’s, and concussion–from short speech tasks patients do on their phones. Our speech analytics help pick up subtle neurological changes not perceptible to the human ear.

We are looking for a creative, curiosity-driven biostatistician to provide statistical support for clinical study data. You’ll have access to our growing database of speech and clinical data. The job has two main components:

• reviewing speech data coming in from customers, along with measurements derived from that data, to ensure the quality of our speech measurement products
• leading scientific analysis of clinical speech datasets for algorithm validation and for publications

You’ll be working with our analytics department on the analysis of incoming study data and with our co-founders on scholarly presentations and publications. This is a high-impact position where you’ll be looking at never-before-analyzed data and setting the direction of our products based on your analyses. Opportunities are available for additional university-level collaborations.

Qualifications and required skills:

• MS in Biostatistics, Statistics, or related quantitative field. Ph.D. strongly preferred.
• Experience with exploratory analysis of health data
• Experience with mixed-effects modeling and longitudinal data analysis
• Ability to visualize complex data
• Ability to write statistical analyses in R
• Exceptional communication skills

• Protected health information
• Python
• SAS
