Scientific Software Manager

The selected candidate will be in charge of the development of clinically operational scientific code involving a team of ten or more part-time developers. This will include: 

• Maintaining quality coding practices
• Managing tasks and priorities in an agile way
• Organizing and maintaining git repositories, including git pipelines
• Interfacing with the regulatory team to support the design and development of software infrastructure for visualization, storage and operational data processing.
• Challenges include creating and interfacing with large, diverse databases (MRI, EEG, SEEG, etc), and creating operational pipelines combining different software tools, computationally demanding algorithms, and intense throughput services.

To succeed in this role, the Software Manager should be detail-oriented and hard-working, have a strong technical background (Physics, Mathematics or Engineering), and be experienced in leading software development teams.

Responsibilities:

• Create operational pipelines combining different software tools.
• Creation and maintenance of git repositories
• Securing proper documentation and interfacing with the regulatory team

Requirements:

• Master’s or PhD in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Biomedical Engineering or related fields.
• Established experience managing software teams and the software design process.
• Strong physics, math, or engineering technical background.
• Excellent knowledge of Python and git.
• Proficiency in English at both oral and written levels.
• Knowledge of DevOps and Docker is a plus.
