The Opportunity

We are looking for a talented backend software engineer with IoT experience who combines strong fundamentals with the ambition to leave a mark on our company and society.

Your Background

• Requirement: BSc or MSc in computer science, data science, web development or similar.
• Understanding of modern software engineering practices using agile methodologies in a cloud-native environment.
• Experience with containerized micro- service applications (Docker, Kubernetes) running on AWS and Azure.
• Familiar with databases: SQL and NoSQL.
• Solid programming skills in TypeScript and Python. C/C++ is a plus.
• Experience in real-time data streams and embedded software is a big plus.
• Not intimidated by data security and privacy topics.
• Not intimidated of bootstrapping infrastructure from the ground up using infrastructure as code (Terraform).
• Ideally, previous experience working in a research-driven and interdisciplinary environment operating with IoT devices.
• Preferably you’ve done own projects for hackathons/home/hobby in IoT and/or cloud.

Key Responsibilities

• Continuous development of the IDUN neuro-intelligence platform and its underlying cloud infrastructure highly coupled with IoT software.
• Coordinate with other software engineers and data scientists to build a high-available and scalable platform.
• Be the vital link between embedded software and our cloud architecture.
• Support in the development and extension of the federated brain API.
• Ensure that customer data is safe and secure on the device and on the cloud.
