We are looking for a full stack developer with ninja skills to join our growing team at Brain+ to bring digital therapeutics (medical interventions delivered as software) for brain health to market! Are you ready to join our ambitious team and make a difference in people’s lives?

Our mission at Brain+ is to restore patients’ independence and quality of life by detecting and treating dementia with purely digital technology.

Despite massive investments in research for treatments of dementia, there is still a high need for innovative and effective treatments for dementia. The good news is that Brain+ is leveraging new and innovative methods to create ground-breaking new treatments and provide these to patients in the shape of digital therapeutics.

The position

You will join the Product Development team which builds the digital therapeutics software for our users. You will be joining a cross-functional team including programmers, game design, 3D art and UX research.

• Contribute to building and maintaining the next generation software-as-a-medicaldevice (SaMD) solutions for brain health
• Work as a full stack developer in our agile team
• Collaborate with the your colleagues to develop the right solutions
• Take part in every step of the development process from ideation and planning to implementation, testing, delivery and support
• Responsible for securing high quality in deliveries, up to the regulatory requirements for software-as-a-medical-device solutions

Your qualifications

• You have an academic degree within Computer Science, IT, Software Development, Engineering or another relevant field
• You have at least 1-2 years full-time experience as full stack developer and/or MSc in relevant field
• Are versatile in working with multiple programming languages and technologies
• Experience working with one or more of the following: Flutter, React, React Native, Node.js
• Experience working with databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB)
• Experience with git workflows, continuous integration, DevOps, containerization, and RESTful APIs
• Experience with test driven development
• Experience with, or a willingness to adopt and learn, Agile methodologies
• Have used cloud platforms such as AWS (and experience with tools such as Terraform is a plus) and/or cloud PaaS providers such as Heroku
• Fluent in oral and written English
• Have a strong delivery mindset
• Are a team player
• Are passionate for the job
• Are curious by nature and eager to learn

It is a plus if you have:

• Experience using Ruby and Ruby on Rails is a plus
• Experience with Unity is a plus
• Experience from the health tech or games industries is a plus
• Experience from the regulated industries is a plus (medical devices, banking, insurance, etc.)
• Experience with CI / CD, even better if this experience comes from within a regulated industry

Our office in the centre of Copenhagen is right next to Rundetårn (the Round Tower), so it’s well connected. From there, we have built and continue to iterate on a great team and environment which focus on mental health (for our colleagues, not just our customers!) and value diversity in everything we do. Although we are based in this office, we offer the flexibility for working remotely – although we do hope you’ll be able to join us for weekly team breakfasts, regular team activities / get-togethers or just an after-work drink once in a while!
