Accounts Payable Specialist

We are hiring an Accounts Payable Specialist who will be an integral part of our accounting team. The Accounts Payable Specialist will play a significant role in ensuring the Company’s financial statements are maintained in a complete and accurate manner and will assist with operational accounting functions including invoice processing, accounting for bank and credit card transaction and more.

 

Essential functions: 

  • Perform daily bookkeeping for company-wide transactions in the bank accounts and credit card accounts using Quickbooks online.
  • Reconcile credit card and bank statements to the general ledger.
  • Assist with month end close procedures for financial reporting for various expense and balance sheet accounts.
  • Prepare an accrued expense sub-ledger to report in the financial statements at month end.
  • Manage the accounts payable inbox and setup invoices for payment in bill.com
  • Monitor aged accounts payable and ensure invoices are being settled timely
  • Correspond with vendors to provide new vendors with onboarding documentation and organize files received (e.g. W9 forms) in a systematic way.

 

Key Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of public accounting and/or industry experience in accounting or audit.
  • Strong Excel skills.

 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Big 4 accounting firm experience a plus.
  • Experience working in other technology companies is a plus.
  • Experience with bill.com and/or Quickbooks is an asset.
