Electrician

Neuralink is seeking a motivated Electrician who will assist on the electrical system installation in new and existing buildings. You will work closely with our construction team, facility managers, engineers, biologists, and surgeons to build Neuralink’s newest sophisticated biotechnology facility in Austin, Texas.

Responsibilities: 

• Install new or electrical wiring or equipment according to the National Electrical Code and company electrical standards
• Be available for critical emergency situations that may require a response to act quickly, troubleshoot or leave to travel to a client site
• Maintain or assist in repairing equipment and systems
• Troubleshoot concerns or issues and perform root cause analysis to determine cause of issues or concerns
• Performs new installation of: power distribution, transformers, and lighting, temporary construction power and electrical equipment up to 480 VAC
• Able to interpret and understand electrical, architectural, and MEP prints and schematics. 

Key qualifications:

• Current journeyman level experience 
• 3+ years of experience as a commercial/industrial electrician 
• Experienced in handling low to high voltage up to 480 VAC
• Knowledgeable sizing breakers/transformers/wire
• Electrical system designing and installation
• Ability to produce as-built drawing for work performed
• Ability to complete job scopes outside of normal core competencies as required
• Able to identify and correct electrical hazards
• Ability to interpret electrical prints and schematics
• Electrical and Facility safety (OSHA)
• Test equipment and circuit wiring with multimeter and/or oscilloscope

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience with Generators, loadbanks, and automatic transfer switches
• Master Electrician License
• Electrical safety in the workplace (NFPA 70E)
