Profile

We are seeking a highly talented and motivated Junior Firmware Engineer to join our Research and Development team. The candidate must be willing to work in a highly dynamic environment, to adapt to fast changes in requirements, and to be interested in developing firmware for wearable devices that acquire, process, and communicate in real-time. These wireless devices measure body signals and integrate multi-modal sensors. A minimum of 2 years of experience is required.

As the interface between software and hardware, the candidate will need to have an understanding of PCBs, RTOS, and drivers. He/she will work with the R&D team to develop prototypes and products and will collaborate closely with the industrial design and software department. The candidate has to be curious and open-minded and willing to acquire knowledge about the type of biosignals being processed, stay updated on the trends in the market to propose and implement novel solutions for new challenges as they appear. 

 

What we are looking for:

  • A relevant degree or equivalent in a relevant engineering discipline (Electronic Engineering, Electrical, and Electronic, or Communications) with a minimum of 2 years of experience.
  • Experience in ARM cortex-M and working with different manufacturers.
  • Experience in BLE communications.
  • Familiar with laboratory equipment (oscilloscope, signal generator…).

 

Bonus points if:

  • PCB design skills
  • Manual skills for SMD assembly
  • Matlab
  • Fluent in English

 

Main responsibilities:

  • Design and development of signal acquisition, communication, and processing algorithms in C/C++ code for embedded systems (microcontroller based) and wireless communication systems.
  • Responsible for the FW stack of Bitbrain devices. Maintenance & Migrations of internal high-level libraries.
  • Develop firmware according to technical (and medical) regulation including testing procedures, documentation, and product life procedures.
