Industrial Design Engineer (Ref.005) – Zaragoza, Spain

Profile

We are seeking a highly talented and motivated Mechanical or Industrial Design Engineer to join our Research and Development team. The candidate must be willing to work in a highly dynamic environment to adapt to fast changes in requirements and be interested in developing wearable healthcare products.  A minimum of 3 years experience is required.

The selected person will be part of the product R&D department, designing, developing, and testing wearable devices that record physiological signals, with an emphasis on comfort, ergonomics, usability, and aesthetics. He/she will work in collaboration with the electronics and operations departments. Duties will also include industry trend analysis, ideation sketching, prototype making, digital visualization techniques, mechanical problem solving, 3D modeling, and supplier management.

What we are looking for:

• A relevant degree or equivalent in a relevant engineering discipline (Mechanical, Product and industrial design, Industrial) with a minimum of 3 years of experience.
• Experience in 3D CAD modeling for plastic product design.
• Experience in product design with electronics.
• Experience in consumer product development.
• Fluent in English

Bonus points if:

• Experienced in medical regulations.
• Experienced in design for plastic injection molding.
• Experienced in mechanical design.

Main responsibilities:

• Responsible for the research, planning, and execution of the assigned projects.
• Designing and testing wearable products according to UX, anthropometric data, and mechanical performance.
• Developing products according to technical and medical regulations including testing procedures, documentation, and product life procedures.
