We are currently seeking a Data Scientist who will actively contribute to our data exploitation strategy. The right candidate will have a passion for discovering solutions hidden in complex data sets, working with a challenging multidisciplinary team and fulfilling a meaningful mission.

About Open Mind Neurotechnologies
Open Mind Neurotechnologies is a 5-year-old French startup dedicated to develop wellbeing and healthcare applications for the general public using virtual reality (VR), serious gaming and quantitative neurophysiology.
Our services offer a complete suite of assessments and personal development tools. It uses online psychometric questionnaires and serious games, as well as physiological and behavioral measurements taken during immersive experiences to quantify several dimensions of mental health in a dynamical approach.
Open Mind gathers a multidisciplinary team of 15 people:
- the scientific team includes data scientists, experimental researchers, psychologists, as well as software engineers.
- the creative studio team includes game developers and programmers specialized in VR as well as graphic and sound designers.
Through partnerships with clinical and academic institutions in applied research and product development, Open Mind aims at transforming the mental health/personal development framework by creating new avenues, within and beyond healthcare, to maximize the duration of a healthy, functional and meaningful living.
Responsibilities
- Multimodal data (psychometric, behavioral, physiological) analyses to provide insights on the effect of immersive experiences (virtual reality, online serious game).
- Propose efficient algorithms and data structures for the data processing pipelines.
- Design data processing pipelines for biosignal signal processing and feature extraction.
- Contribute to open-source frameworks used throughout the organization for data collection, data and metadata management, and data transformation.
- Collaborate with developers and scientists in a multi-disciplinary team.
Skills & Experience Required
The following are not strictly required, inspiration and motivation are by far the best requirements so come and apply!
- 2+ years experience
- High proficiency in Python
- Knowledge of signal processing algorithms
- Experience with biological signal processing and feature extraction
- Time series / physiological data analysis
- You have a strong interest in stats/data analysis, especially on time series data
- You are familiar with research methodology and scientific literature
- Experience with online analysis for real-time application would be appreciated
- Interested in data visualization
