Microfabrication Engineering Technician

Permanent, Fulltime position, Boston, MA

Job Duties

  • Work independently in a team-based production environment to support activities in silicon/semiconductor wafer processing including photolithography, wet and dry etching, PVD/CVD, metallization, metrology and inspection
  • Learn best practices for all processes involved in NeuroNexus product fabrication
  • Accurately follow process instructions to ensure high yield
  • Document production metrics throughout daily process steps
  • Efficiently move between multiple production tasks on a daily basis
  • Monitor and maintain supply inventory related to wafer processing
  • Work safely in areas where hazardous chemicals are stored or in use
  • Work under pressure at times to maintain production schedules
  • Travel required on an occasional basis

 

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering/Science, or Associate Degree with commensurate level of fabrication experience
  • Experience in a cleanroom environment working with silicon wafers and microfabrication equipment (either industrial or educational)

 

Special Skills/Experience Preferred

  • Fundamental materials science knowledge
  • Design and performance of testing protocols
  • Experience in statistical process control
  • Experience with CAD systems
