Job Openings in the CNL
Post-Doctoral Fellow
The Cognitive Neurophysiology Laboratory (CNL) directed by Dr. John Foxe and co-directed by Dr. Ed Freedman is hiring post-doctoral fellows specializing in the human and/or murine neurophysiology. The CNL at Rochester is a large lab with a wide-ranging program of research including, but not limited to mouse models of neurodevelopmental disorders, human electrocorticography, stationary and mobile human electroencephalography, and both structural and functional MRI. In addition to basic neurophysiology, current and future projects will involve the study of processing impairments associated with such diseases as schizophrenia, autism, Rett Syndrome, Alzheimer’s disease and other neurologic disorders and diseases.
We are looking for candidates with experience in neuroimaging and proficiency in programming, especially MATLAB. Most importantly, we are looking for individuals who are adaptable and skilled in collaboration. Applicants from related fields within neuroscience, computer science, cognitive science, and engineering are encouraged to apply.
The University of Rochester offers a diverse and welcoming research environment with opportunities for training across the medical and undergraduate campuses.
Interested applicants should e-mail Dr. Foxe or Dr. Freedman a CV, the contact information for three references, and a cover letter describing what you’ve done in the past and what you’d like to do with us in the future.
