Rogue Research Inc. is hiring. We are a manufacturing company, making software and hardware for the neuroscience research field. We are looking for a motivated individual to join our team of software developers to help make the next generation of neuronavigation equipment for the neuroscience community.

We are currently looking for a Software Developer to work on Brainsight, our neuronavigation software. It is a macOS Cocoa application written in Objective-C, C, and C++.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the design, development, maintenance, documentation, and testing of the software.
• Participate in design activities and code reviews with team members.
• Implement new features.
• Maintenance, improvement, and debugging of existing codebase and its test suites.

Requirements:

• Solid understanding of object oriented programming (OOP).
• Experience with OOP languages (ex: Objective-C, C++, Java, etc.).
• Experience with C-based languages (C, Objective-C, C++).
• Knowledge of UNIX-like environments, particularly macOS.
• Able to work both in a group and independently.
• Need legal right to work in Canada.

Desirable/Useful, but not absolutely required:

• Experience with macOS, Cocoa, Xcode, Objective-C, C, and C++.
• Bachelor in Computer Science/Engineering or similar.
• At least 1 year experience programming professionally.
• Experience with source control systems, particularly svn and git.
• Knowledge of linear algebra & 3D transformations.
• Knowledge of VTK and ITK open source libraries.
• English/French bilingual.
