Role Overview
Are you passionate about cutting edge camera technology, and the possibilities it has enabled, from smart home products to self-driving road vehicles? In Arm’s ISP team, we develop the groundbreaking image processors that enable this revolution in imaging, and demonstrating the best image quality (IQ) is crucial. This role is an excellent opportunity for an expert engineer to define how Image Signal Processors of the future should be designed, tuned and tested.
About the role
You will lead internal development and IQ testing of our image processors, collaborating closely with software developers, hardware design engineers and product marketing to make sure our products are outstanding. You will also act as a technical consultant to our partners – some of the most well-known technology companies in the world, and play a crucial role in enabling them to push the boundaries of what is possible with each generation of their technology.

What you can expect to do:
- Coordinate tests and experiments in order to achieve the best objective and subjective image quality from digital cameras
- Lead all aspects of IQ activities for new ISP products from conception to productization
- Find and solve image quality problems
- Tune and test full camera systems (CMOS sensors, ISP and lenses)
- Meet customers and industry peers to support them and understand their needs
Requirements
Key Skills & Experience
- Awareness of image processing algorithms and the underlying mathematics
- CMOS sensors and lenses, and factors affecting their performance
- 3A algorithms (Auto White Balance, Auto Focus, Auto Exposure) and tuning
- Image quality analysis and tools
- Good report writing skills
- Good problem solving skills
Desirable Skills & Experience
- A deep understanding of ISP operations
- Awareness of the technology industry: camera applications, image quality challenges and new developments
- Proficiency in at least one of: MATLAB, C, Python
Education:
- Minimum requirement: a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical subject such as Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or Digital Signal Processing.
