Role Overview
You have a keen interest in CPU micro-architecture and hardware design ? Take up the challenge to rise tomorrow’s processors performance! We are looking for an enthusiastic engineer to join Arm, and help shape the future of technology and collaborating in the development of next-generation CPU that fuel billions of devices world-wide.
Arm’s Sophia Antipolis design centre is located in one of the most beautiful parts of France, at the heart of Europe’s largest and most dynamic technology park. Surrounded by mountains and the Mediterranean Sea, this exceptional design centre has delivered leading products from Arm’s Cortex (TM) processor family.
As Senior CPU Performance Analysis Engineer, you will directly contribute to the definition and bring-up of Arm’s next-gen processor micro-architecture.
Working alongside our world leading hardware and software experts, your main role will consist in ensuring that the CPU under development reach their performance targets. Using a wide variety of benchmarks, you will be in charge of analyzing the results, isolating and analyzing the potential outliers.

Key responsibilities
- Run a diverse set of benchmarks on the CPUs under development and assess their level of performance.
- Analyze performance outliers and identify the possible areas of improvements.
- Optimize the efficiency of the CPU performance analysis and verification flow
Job Requirements
Essential skills and experience
- Solid foundation in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or Engineering
- Good English interpersonal skills
- Accomplished working experience in the semiconductor industry
Desirable skills and experience:
Ideal candidates would benefit from additional skills and experience in the following areas:
- Familiarity with CPU micro-architectural concepts
- Hardware design (VHDL, Verilog, SystemVerilog)
- CPU or System performance modelling
- Pre-silicon performance analysis (simulation, hardware emulation, FPGA)
- Knowledge of the Arm architecture
- Habits of Linux environment
- Programming skills (Python, C, Assembly)
