Senior Software Engineer, UI – Brain-Computer Interface

Description
We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to develop embedded code, APIs and the UI that will interface with our real-time neural data. Our system will enable implanted electrode arrays in the brain to perform unprecedented feats and address previously intractable disease states.
You may be based in our NYC or the San Francisco Bay Area office, or can work fully remote.
Responsibilities
- Develop and refine digital signal processing, neural decoding, control, and clinical user interface for our initial product
- Deliver working software packages within defined timelines
- Participate in detailed, collaborative discussions about the impact of your work on the overall BCI design
- Drive progress and collaborate across domains of hardware, software, and regulatory compliance
- Develop cross-platform user interfaces with technologies such as Qt
Requirements
- 5+ years’ commercial experience, very strong software development skills, and passion for our mission of developing brain-computer interfaces
- Strong medical device industry experience
- Strong expertise building APIs
- Strong experience working with UIs for high frequency data pipelines
- Strong experience building UIs from inception to commercialization
- Fluent in C/C++
- Experience with code management tools and testing frameworks
- You should be comfortable with creative problem solving in a startup environment, collaborating, and taking charge of projects
- A track record of delivering on accelerated timelines and budgets, with a demonstrated history of self-directed work within a team is desired
