Your mission:
Are you a passionate neuroscience researcher who is looking for an industry role? Have you done fNIRS research or worked with EEG or fMRI? Have you taken a research project from planning stages through acquiring, analyzing and then publishing the data? Are you a great communicator and want to move the field of neuroscience forward? If this sounds like you, then joining our team as a Scientific Consultant will be a highly fulfilling role.
- Develop an expert understanding of fNIRS technology. Stay well-read on fNIRS based and related research as well as methods and technology developments.
- Consult scientists on the best solution for their research questions. This requires understanding their research goals and the latest technology developments and considerations for their field.
- Interact with leading researchers in child/neurodevelopment, neuroscientists, cognitive psychologists, sport-scientists, medical researchers and more.
- Build strong relationships within the research community, and lead customer-oriented handling of sales requests, utilising communication via email, phone, conference calls / online sessions.
- Travel to research hubs to provide demonstrations, workshops, and training. Engage with researcher and our partners at conferences (like SfN, OHBM, CNS, SfNIRS, etc.)
- Work together with an awesome team! This role involves interfacing with scientists, engineers, project managers, grant writers and many others.
- Act as voice-of-the-customer to the rest of NIRx.
Your Qualification
Key Requirements:
- Ph.D. or Master’s Degree in Neuroscience, Psychology, Biomedical Engineering, or related field.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the acquisition and analysis of physiological signals. Ideally, previous experience with fNIRS, EEG, and/or fMRI.
- Excellent English skills, oral and written.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are crucial for excelling at this role.
- Organised team player, with a love for science.
- Willingness to travel (25-35% of the time).
Must work and be based in the USA and hold a Passport for possible international travel (US Green Card holder or US Citizen)
Considered a Plus:
- Previous experience in the neuroscience field (either within a company or university lab)
- Extensive knowledge in fNIRS data analysis or successful publication of fNIRS data.
- Practical experience with the complete setup and preparation of subjects/patients for measurement of physiological signals.
- Experienced in public speaking. Ability to present to large audiences, in person or remotely.
