We are Mentalab, a Neurotech start-up based in Munich, Germany (www.mentalab.com). Our ambitious team develops mobile, compact biosensor technology. We are looking for a smart and motivated candidate for 20 – 40 hours / week to support the continuous improvement of our Mentalab Explore system.

Your role:

  • Coordinate supply chains & manufacturing partnerships
  • Support product developments and debugging (hardware, firmware, software, design)
  • Contribute to the implementation of the real-time & time-critical functions
  • Design and develop the software for research grade or medical embedded systems
  • Work closely with external partners and specialist teams to ensure delivery of project goals

 

What we need:

  • Relevant experience in…                                             
    • Embedded C/C++, Python, Cortex-m
    • FreeRTOS, Linux, cmd line, bash scripts
    • DSP on edge and off edge
    • BT (2.x/5.x), USART, Wi-Fi, USB, COM, I2C, SPI
  • Some experience in…
    • Debugging methods on embedded devices
    • Designing mixed signal PCBs using Altium or Eagle
    • Analysing digital / analog circuits
    • Documentation of procedures
  • Motivation to learn…
    • Coding in Verilog and VHDL in Raspberry Pi
    • Matlab / Simulink
    • Dual-bank FW architecture, building automation in Cmake
    • Bio-signal processing and visualization
