About the job

Purpose of function:

We are looking for a motivated Algorithm Engineer who is comfortable in a multidisciplinary environment and has strong experience in data engineering and signal processing. In this role, you will lead the development of complex data workflows and their integration in our cloud-based data platform. On a typical day, you work will include the development of signal processing & ML/DL algorithms, data collection, data engineering, ML engineering, implementation & deployment of software and ensure their robustness in production and clinical-grade environment. The candidate will work alongside Neuroscientists, Engineers (Software, Electrical, Embedded, Biomedical) and Clinical scientists to create the next generation of minimal invasive neural interfaces. Preference will be given to candidates with direct experience in data science, biotechnology or medical devices.

 

Main responsibilities

  • Pushing forward the design and implementation of the data workflows
  • Working in partnership with the software engineers and neuroscientists to deliver the technology and clinical roadmap
  • Develop new algorithms or improve existing ones with ML/DL or signal processing from data collection to model architectures improvement
  • Implementation and deployment of algorithms in our internal libraries and on our backend services

 

Basic Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree with 4+ years of industry experience or PhD with 1+ year of industry experience
  • Strong experience in signal processing and time series
  • Industry-grade coding and software engineering skills. The candidate should be able to write clean, efficient, and well-documented code in Python.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals
  • Fluent in English (company language)

 

Preferred:

  • PhD in neuroscience, applied mathematics, computational biology, or in another quantitative field
  • Strong experience with neurophysiological data (EEG, ECoG, LFP, MEG…)
  • Experience designing, training and deploying deep learning models
  • Familiarity with industry-grade data science and infrastructure tools
  • Experience in a regulated industry and exposure to regulatory submissions
