Site Reliability Engineer, BCI Applications

Neuralink is seeking a software engineer who wants to build software and hardware infrastructure to automatically validate end-to-end machine learning & software stacks (iOS, macOS, Python, embedded C) with simulated brains.

You will own large parts of the design of this system and be on the critical path to delivering a robust brain-computer interface solution that helps users with tetraplegia regain independence and lead richer lives. You will work with neuroscientists, physicians, electrical engineers and our consumer advisory board to design, test and deploy high-performance software systems. In addition, you will partner with our Core Infrastructure engineering team to ensure our platforms scale to the needs of you and your team.

Key qualifications:

• Strong understanding of engineering first principles. 
• Experience designing automated test systems with hardware in the loop.
• Experience in low level programming languages, firmware design, debugging, and profiling (C / C++).
• Experience with large scale software maintenance, including CI/CD architecture and implementation.
• Leadership in guiding the team toward reliability goals while maintaining high velocity.
• Experience with iOS or macOS development (Swift / Objective-C).

Preferred qualifications:

• Interested in machine learning and the neuroscience behind brain-computer interfaces.
