We seek a postdoctoral fellow with a degree in Neuroscience, Bioengineering, Kinesiology, Rehabilitation, or a related field. Successful candidates will work on an exciting program using neuromodulation approaches, including invasive and non-invasive spinal cord electrical stimulation. Projects focus on functional recovery and mobility after neurological injuries and disorders, such as spinal cord injury, multiple sclerosis, or stroke. This position is housed in a prolific lab with an emphasis on publications and opportunities for collaboration. Applicants could be involved in clinical trials, have grant writing opportunities, and the opportunity to further expand research expertise. Opportunities for collaboration with clinicians and scientists on existing clinical research projects, including robotic exoskeletons, neuroimaging, and animal models, are available. The postdoctoral fellow will become part of a dynamic environment within the Center for Translatiayonal Neural Prosthetics and Interfaces in the Department of Neurosurgery at Houston Methodist Research Institute, focused on interdisciplinary research programs that span the interface between sensorimotor neuroscience and neurorehabilitation. Houston Methodist is housed within the Texas Medical Center, the world’s largest Medical Center, which was formed with a focus on innovation and research.

Education Requirements
- Postdoctoral Fellow 0, 1, 2, 3, 4 – Doctor of Medicine (MD) from an accredited medical school or Doctoral Degree (PhD) in medical field (A letter from the academic institution certifying that all student work is complete will be considered for Postdoctoral Fellow 0 only.)
