The Scientific Project Coordinator works with Project Managers, Quality Assurance Staff, and Study Directors in coordination, project planning, and operations for Study support. The Scientific Project Coordinator works interdisciplinarily with the teams across Neuralink to assemble information, create updates, follow projects through their lifecycle, and generally assist wherever necessary in ensuring the completion of effective, accurate, appropriate, and compliant research practices and projects. Additionally, the Scientific Project Coordinator will work to automate manual processes wherever possible to ensure the scalability of Neuralink’s research practices.

Responsibilities:

  • Focuses on making it easier to successfully plan, set up, kick off, and complete scientific studies.
  • Communicate cross functionally across departments to drive Surgical, R&D, and GLP Study Success.
  • Assists Study Director, Quality, Surgery Operations, Animal Care, and Laboratories to ensure that they remain on schedule and within budget, they are appropriately resourced, and they meet quality standards according to SOPs, GLP, and other Regulatory requirements/guidelines.
  • Support operations by making internal systems easier to collect and monitor data.
  • Prepare, edit, and update project timelines and documentation to ensure successful execution and completion of outlined deliverables.
  • Stays in continuous communication with the Study Director, Quality, Laboratories, Robot Team, Implants, Animal Care, and Surgical teams to understand current status of project planning and completion.
  • Collaborates with Study Director and Quality on project/program goals.
  • Assists in coordinating logistics for subject arrival and processing
  • Proactively identifies issues and drives the team to find solutions. 
  • Develops contingency and troubleshooting plans as needed.

 

Key Qualifications:

  • 1+ years of academic or industry experience in Research Science (Academic or Industry)
  • BS in Neuroscience, Biological Sciences, or other related Scientific Field (inc. Bioengineering)
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills
  • Strong desire to implant an N1 Device in a Human
