Cardiac Rhythm and Heart Failure offers devices and therapies to treat abnormal heart rhythms, as well as cardiac diagnostic and monitoring solutions. Medtronic’s Cardiac Rhythm and Heart Failure (CRHF) division is looking for a motivated engineer to be part of a high-performing team that is revolutionizing the design and development of medical devices. The work you do will impact patients globally and help support Medtronic’s mission of alleviating pain, restoring health, and extending life for millions.
This position within the Medtronic CRHF Device Development organization will have responsibility for IC design, circuit requirements definition, simulation analysis, layout direction, circuit evaluation, system level evaluation, verification testing, and other tasks in the development of implantable medical devices.
Specific Responsibilities:
- Specify and design analog and mixed-signal integrated circuits.
- Design test structures for highly testable ICs and/or built-in self-test architectures.
- Perform modeling and simulation of ICs and multi-chip modules.
- Direct and review IC layout activities.
- Specify, direct and perform design characterization and verification of ICs and electronic modules to ensure device capability.
- Conduct reviews to ensure device quality, capability and functional requirements.
- Interface with product engineering, test engineering, research engineering and firmware engineering in a team environment.
Must Have: Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor in Electrical Engineering or technical field with 4+ years of experience or advance degree with 2+ years of experience in complete understanding and wide application of technical principle, theories, and concept in the field.
Nice to Have: Preferred Qualifications
- A thorough knowledge of analog and mixed signal IC design methodologies.
- Ultra-Low power design methodologies.
- Ability to define circuit requirements.
- Ability to analyze and understand a complete product electrical system.
- A thorough knowledge of design for test and design for manufacturing methodologies.
- A thorough knowledge of semiconductor devices and fabrication technology.
- Expertise in Cadence analog design tools.
- Expertise with quality and statistical methods.
- Ability to demonstrate innovation in defining and solving problems.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
