Postdoc Associate position immediately available.  Molecular biologists and neuroscientists with high motivation, creativity and independence welcomed to apply to Dr. Gomez-Pastor’s research team in the Department of Neuroscience at University of Minnesota.

The Gomez-Pastor lab is working on understanding the biology of protein quality control systems under physiological and pathological conditions, and developing novel approaches to treat human proteinopathies with special emphasis in Huntington’s Disease. A combination of biochemistry, molecular and cell biology, mouse models, and state-of-art imaging techniques is employed in the lab. Required:

• Successful candidates must hold a PhD. or equivalent degree with expertise relevant to the research areas.

Preferred:

• Motivated and independent individuals with a demonstrated track record in neuroscience and cell biology
• Strong research experience in mouse models, primary cell cultures, protein folding, biochemistry, molecular and cellular biology, imaging and other related fields will also be considered.
