Your role at ZEISS Digital Partners

Are you seeking for a new challenge? You will play a major role in expanding ZEISS Digital Partners and actively contributing to the digital transformation at ZEISS. In this challenging function you will be part of an agile, interdisciplinary team of frontend, backend and full-stack software engineers, UI / UX designers and product owners, which enables the co-ideation and development of customer-centric digital products.

You will be working with state-of-the-art tech stack, based on JavaScript (TypeScript, React.js), developing and integrating REST & GraphQL APIs, and architecting & developing end-to-end web solutions. With your knowledge and experience, you will be contributing to further improvements in the development processes and shaping best practices in the team. You will be working as an integrated member of a high-performing team with a DevOps – mindset, not only developing backend solutions, but also testing and documenting your product.

To build up our Digital Customer Interaction, Customer Journey team, we are seeking the Software Engineers to be based in Munich, Germany. We offer an option to work partly remote with expectation of 2-3 office days per week.

Your profile ​

• at least 3 years of professional experience in a similar position, where you built a solid background in agile software engineering environment
• excellent skills in modern JavaScript (i.e. ES6 or later) and GraphQL
• experience in at least one modern JavaScript-based frontend framework (e.g. React.js) and tools (e.g. Redux, Webpack, Babel, etc.)
• preferably experience in .NET or Go backend development
• solid understanding of REST architecture, microservices architecture, common SE design patterns
• ability to understand business requirements, collaborate with peer engineers and translate the requirements into a truly successful digital product
• good verbal and written skills in English.
