BCI Technician

Neuralink is developing ultra-high bandwidth brain-computer interfaces (BCI) to enable people to control a computer cursor just by thinking about moving. We are building a team of multidisciplinary experts passionate about making a world-changing impact. A key part of the R&D process is to test new decoding algorithms and software with non-human primates (NHPs). The BCI Technician will work closely with the animal care team and the BCI software/algorithms team to plan, execute, analyze, and present the outcomes of BCI research sessions.

What you will do:

• Run daily BCI sessions with NHPs to test algorithms and software
• Conduct and present basic data analysis on NHP behavioral metrics
• Track BCI performance and behavioral metrics and suggest/execute experiment improvements
• Develop new experiment setups and improve existing ones to optimize NHP behavioral training and data collection
• Contribute to experiment design
• Assist in training new required behaviors

Preferred qualifications:

• Education in a science-related field (e.g. neuroscience, biology, engineering, physics, software, etc.)
• Experience collecting physiological data
• Basic programming experience
• Basic data analysis experience
• Experience working with and training animals
