Summary Statement

In the newly established Ottobock Bionic Exoskeletons business unit (www.paexo.com), innovative exoskeletons (e.g. Paexo Shoulder and Paexo Back) and other technical solutions have been developed since 2018, which enable people to pursue demanding everyday working life in a health-friendly manner. Textiles play a prominent role in our Paexo products. Our users have clear needs in terms of comfort and function, but also the look and feel of our products plays an important role. With regard to the further development of our product portfolio, seamless coordination between Operations, R&D and Sales is necessary in order to integrate the issues of price, logistics and additional functions into the product development at short notice.

 

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Simultaneous development with third parties and integration of materials management into the product development processes
  • Ongoing support of suppliers and their further development with regard to quality and costs
  • Production, coordination and evaluation of textile product samples
  • Execution of manufacturing cost analyses for exoskeleton textile components
  • Analysis and identification of cost reduction potentials
  • Coordination of make or buy decisions for exoskeleton textile components
  • Execution of project management for product maintenance and facelifts
  • Supporting the product development process by selecting suitable suppliers or manufacturing sites and providing information on new technologies available on the procurement market
  • Ensuring product availability at the interface to sales, purchasing and logistics
  • Following up on customer complaints and resolving them together with Sales and Development
  • Collaborating on the definition of requirements for product improvements and customer satisfaction

 

Profile

  • You have successfully completed your education in the field of textiles, preferably you have a university degree in textile technology or similar with already several years of professional experience along the textile chain
  • You have a distinct knowledge of the manufacturer/procurement market and a strong understanding of processes
  • You have a solid technical understanding and an interest in the activities of people in manufacturing, logistics and the trades
  • Your way of working is structured and goal-oriented, you work on your own responsibility
  • You are characterized by a high level of customer and service orientation, are flexible in terms of time and ready for action
  • You are willing to travel to our global production sites 
  • Within and outside the company, you find it easy to communicate and cooperate with existing process partners
  • You are assertive and skilled in negotiations
  • Your MS-Office and SAP (SD/MM) skills are very good
  • You speak German and English business fluent
