Position Summary: 

The Director, Forecasting and Analytics is a highly visible and strategic role reporting to the Chief Commercial Officer. You will build the forecasting & analytics function from the ground up in a dynamic environment for a new therapeutic category. You will be responsible for commercial revenue plans, data-driven trends, demand planning, and commercial insights with an anticipated high-growth trajectory. You will develop and maintain visualizations, metrics, and presentations for recurring senior leadership forums. You will be the principal coordinator of quarter-end revenue alignment among Commercial, Operations, and Finance, which ensures fulfillment of corporate objectives, and financial modeling, as well as providing critically important insights to support senior leadership decision-making.

 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Lead and drive the team on a Business Intelligence view of critical Commercial KPIs including Forecast Accuracy, Revenue Trending, Portfolio Mix, and Price Realization.
  • Responsible for Sales Enablement on Salesforce.com, as well as execution across all customer channels.
    • Ensure monthly Sales Forecasting process is migrated seamlessly into platform to ensure forecasting accuracy is maintained
  • Develop tracking mechanism for Core Business; work with commercial team and brand leads to develop a plan to grow business above market rate.
    • Facilitate regular review meetings to track progress towards goals and capture necessary actions to course correct
  • Lead development of compensation model and class of trade for a portfolio including software and services to minimize direct channel conflict and drive sales focus.
  • Lead the forecast and collaboration process for Commercial current and new product introductions, including Pear’s future launch models for patients, volumes, and net revenue.
  • Develop the long-range planning processes/demand plan volumes and revenue projections.
  • Present and collaborate with Senior Commercial and Finance teams on revenue planning.
  • Provide Pricing Committee Support and Revenue Impact Analysis in a rapidly evolving reimbursement landscape.
  • Create systems for real-time net sales reporting and estimating monthly gross-to-net revenue adjustments.
  • Develop dataset and analytics dashboards to compare relative performance by brand for Retention, Utilization, Active Patients by Disease State & Prescriber Type, and Brand Share Analysis.
  • Other duties as required.

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 12+ years of related experience, or Master’s degree and 8+ years of related experience, within the healthcare or medical technology industry.
  • Dynamic Business Forecasting, Analytics, and Strategic Planning professional with a proven track record of leading global revenue forecasting, coordinating revenue management activities, and maintaining Commercial KPIs. 
  • Recognized skills in analyzing data, developing business insights, and effective leadership presentations.
  • Strong familiarity with Salesforce.com, Veeva, and Tableau.
  • Experience developing global forecasting and analytics functions in rapidly evolving environments. Highly effective leader with an ability to motivate disparate Teams. 
  • Driven, collaborative and professional with outstanding communication skills and business acumen. 
  • Able to collaborate with a wide range of experience levels and cultures with tact and diplomacy.
