Position Summary:  

Pear has an exciting internship opportunity for someone working towards a Bachelor’s in communications or journalism to join our team during the summer for academic credit. 

We are looking for a Corporate Communications Intern, reporting into the Senior Director, Corporate Communications, who can contribute and grow their public relations skills within Pear’s Corporate Communications Department. 

As a Corporate Communications intern, you will be part of a collaborative corporate communications team in a fast-paced and growing company.  You will attend regular department meetings, have access to a wide range of experiences under the mentorship of the Senior Director, Corporate Communications, and other leaders in the organization. You will have exposure to projects of diverse scope which will broaden your understanding of internal and external communications.

The position is an ideal opportunity to develop public relations skills in a growing company and relate academic knowledge with what occurs in a real-world environment while working alongside our, Senior Director, Corporate Communications and Corporate Communications & Government Relations Associate.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Support the development of corporate communications content across various internal and external communications channels
  • Provide assistance with different internal and external events
  • Help identify stories to tell across traditional and social media
  • Support Communications projects and ad hoc requests.
  • Work collaboratively with agency and coordinate cross-functionally across the organization.

 

Qualifications:

  • Pursuing a degree in communications, journalism, or a related field
  • creative, resourceful, integrative thinker
  • Interest in tech and healthcare industries.
  • Interest and comfort in working with cross-functional internal stakeholders.
  • Interest in writing, media research, social media
  • This is an academic credit internship opportunity and is not a paid internship. We will require your College or University provide documentation that this will be for academic credit.

Hours: 20 hours/week for academic credit
