As a Manufacturing Technician at Neuralink, you will tackle a wide array of challenges from hardware that the research animals interact with to equipment that allows our team to move as quickly as possible. Technical breadth and creative problem solving are key abilities to succeed in this role. The main focus of this position is to allow us to collect as much high quality brain data as quickly as possible. The role involves collaboration with neuroscientists, biologists, and engineers to determine success criteria and build systems quickly and effectively.

- You are a cross-disciplinary team member. You are excited to work with and learn from software, mechanical, electrical, materials, biological engineers, and neuroscientists. You are comfortable communicating across teams.
- Resourceful, flexible and adaptable; no task is too big or too small.
Key qualifications:
- Desire to work closely with animals.
- Experience with conventional machining and rapid prototyping technologies.
- Experience with precision design and manufacturing.
- Solid understanding of basic physics fundamentals.
- Experience with mechanical and electrical assembly.
- 1+ years of experience in a hands on manufacturing environment.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Ability to rapidly change roles/responsibilities while working in a high-paced, challenging work environment.
- Ability to effectively communicate (verbal and written) with Engineering and Production.
Preferred qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience manual or CNC machining
- 1+ year of experience welding
