Neuralink is developing high-bandwidth brain-computer interfaces (BCI) to help those with brain injuries in the near term and reduce AI risk to humanity in the long term. Implant technology and our ability to manufacture high-quality implants in volume at low cost are at the core of enabling this vision. As an Engineering Technician for the Implant team at Neuralink, you will be instrumental in helping establish new manufacturing and test processes and ramp to full-scale production of our implants and accessories.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Mechanical/electrical assembly of implant and charger components, subassemblies, and integration of final assemblies 
  • Build small implant subassemblies involving custom micron-scale electrode arrays and SoC with high precision
  • Troubleshoot and maintain equipment and custom-built test stations
  • Implement process improvements to the production line
  • Perform test setups needed to support developments and debugging of the manufacturing processes
  • Assist in the data collection and analysis of throughput, quality, and reliability of the built hardware
  • Collaborate with engineers to design and build fixtures
  • Create high-quality documentations, such as assembly procedures/work instructions

 

About you:

  • High school diploma or equivalent certificate
  • 2+ years of hands on experience
  • Meticulous attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication

 

Preferred qualifications:

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in an engineering, math or science discipline
  • Solid understanding of basic physics and engineering fundamentals
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret, distill, and disseminate relevant technical information
  • Experience working in a precision manufacturing or high-volume manufacturing environment
  • Experience in a cleanroom environment
  • Experience with Solidworks or other CAD
  • Experience with Python
  • Resourceful, flexible, and adaptable; no task is too big or too small
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic and constantly changing environment

 

Additional requirements:

  • Must be able to work all shifts, overtime and/or weekends as needed
