We are looking experienced Backend Engineer to join our DataFlow team.

DataFlow team size: 4-8

DataFlow team mission:

• Reduce the effort required to store and query data that needs to be available in the app and across the cloud.
• Empower app teams to develop end-to-end features without the need to involve backend engineers.
• Evangelize compliance with standardized data schemas, data quality and data lifetime management.

DataFlow team Domain & Example Tasks:

• Development of High-Performance, scalable Data Storage and Query APIs for document and timeseries data
• Development of data sync system between app and cloud
• Development of expressive query APIs
• Heavy Automation through Code Generation: API endpoint creation, client code generation, automated datalake exporting, etc
• Real-time Event Streaming & Notification
• Most of the current codebase is Python (cloud), Typescript (data schema definition), Swift (iOS), Kotlin (Android)
• Possible (not-yet-decided) future: GraphQL interface, server-side implementation in Rust, migration to a sharded SQL database (currently DynamoDB), gRPC.

• Is a team player with good communication skills
• Is motivated to learn and further develop their skills
