We are looking for new colleagues to our Cloud Platform team who bring their own strengths to the team. We are responsible for efficient data synchronisation, structuring and processing. Our team takes care of backend APIs that are used in most Oura apps, services and machine learning components, providing the technical foundation for our growth. Our team consists of backend, site reliability and distributed systems engineers. We work on a daily basis with other Oura teams..

• Previous experience from solving challenging technical problems.

• Motivated to learn and develop your skills.
• Authorized to work in Switzerland (either existing or EU/EEA national).

We look for skills and experience in several of the following topics:

• Backend development – We use Python and TypeScript.
• Containers – We use Kubernetes and Cloud Native technologies, such as Helm, Flux and the Prometheus observability stack.
• Cloud – We run on Amazon Web Services and use key AWS services like EKS, RDS and S3. We develop Infrastructure-as-Code using CDK and cdk8s.
• Databases – We use PostgreSQL, DynamoDB and Redis.
• Security – Good practices in developing secure applications and services.
• Privacy – Practical understanding of privacy controls and requirements.
