About the job

Elemind Technologies, Inc. is a disruptive neurotechnology company whose products use bleeding edge and novel neuromodulation techniques and precisely timed brain stimulation to drive brainwaves and change brain states. We are developing an entirely new product category, and we’re seeking a visionary Vice President of Marketing & Sales to build our brand, and create and execute our marketing strategy.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Full ownership of marketing & brand strategy, budget, and activities
  • Brand Positioning: develop clear definition of brand. Visionary messaging to tell a bold, differentiated story of Elemind’s value proposition relative to the competition. Translate into reality through ads, collateral, web design, UI/UX.
  • Define and execute go-to-market strategy.
  • Develop and oversee full-funnel marketing strategy: Acquisition, retention, product marketing, social media marketing, brand & content marketing, partnerships, advertising, SEO, sales, creative, PR and communications
  • Brand Building, PR, & Communications: Develop and own our creative channels to build brand awareness for Elemind as the #1 product for X (eg. blog, podcasts, videos, community, events). Build strong relationships with media and stakeholders through effective PR strategies. Represent company in interviews, own board-level reporting for marketing
  • Retention & Engagement: Define engagement strategy and plan across all touch-points with the product (email, in app, etc) to follow up with and incentivize users, as well as retargeting campaigns. Develop a plan for Community engagement.
  • Research/Analytics: Brand awareness, target users, competitive positioning, etc. Leverage both primary & secondary resources.
  • Responsible for developing & executing Sales & Customer Service pipeline and strategy: End to end creation of process, tools, and revenue attainment.
  • Set pricing to meet revenue and profitability goals. Negotiate business relationships and customer contracts.
  • Build out marketing & sales team

 

Requirements/Skills:

  • 6-8+ years of experience leading a high-performing marketing & sales organization in a fast-growth, venture-backed consumer-focused startup (ideally a consumer electronics company)
  • You are customer-centric and customer-obsessed. As a marketing & sales leader, you provide yourself in knowing the customer and product better than anyone
  • Experience in brand-building and creating a unique, highly-differentiated brand in a competitive market, that is tied to successful revenue growth and company performance
  • Experience in leading or working closely with product, research, & engineering teams with strong concise and effective messaging & positioning skills
  • Strong knowledge of metrics that measure marketing effectiveness (LTV, CAC, CPA, ROAS, attribution models, and other customer-focused metrics)
  • Strong knowledge of process and ownership of metrics that measure sales effectiveness (ARR,ARPA, CLTV, ASC, SER, ASP)
  • Experience scaling marketing & sales channels
  • Is a known innovative brand builder and storyteller with a passion for data and how it can be used to inform marketing assets & tactics
  • Strong understanding of audience targeting, media optimization, analytics, and content marketing
  • Self-starter, able to work with minimal supervision.

 

Education, Experience:

  • BA/BS in a relevant field
  • MS preferred
