Job Title: Lead Facilities Manager

Job Reports To: VP of Operations
Position Overview:
The facilities manager will be responsible for ensuring a safe and productive work environment for the entire Blackrock team. This will include space and workspace planning, building & vendor management, and emergency planning. This role will also be responsible for managing the security and access needs of our various locations and act as the point of contact for all building related issues.
Qualification Requirements:
- BS/BA in facility management, engineering, business administration or related field
- 5+ years experience as a multi-site facilities manager, preferably for a medical device company
- Experience working in an FDA regulated environment
- Knowledge of OSHA and other environmental regulations
- Knowledge and execution of FDA quality protocols IQ, PQ, OQ
- Familiarity with Master Validation plans
- Knowledge of general maintenance methods, operating requirements, and safety precautions relevant to facilities management
- Experience with clean rooms, medical testing labs, and manufacturing operations
- Demonstrated experience with external vendors, lease negotiations, and working with external vendors/contractors
- Knowledge of ISO 5 & ISO 7 clean room regulations
Key responsibilities:
- Monitoring and ensuring the safety and cleanliness of interior and exterior areas, such as offices, conference rooms, cafeteria, clean rooms, parking lots and outdoor recreation spaces.
- Planning and coordination with external contractors and vendors related to all facility installations, maintenance, refurbishments, and build outs.
- Management of all building infrastructure including security, access, networks, telecommunications, and utilities.
- Monitoring all properties for necessary repairs, renovations, and routine inspections and coordinating with outside vendors to provide necessary services.
- Creating and managing site emergency plans.
- Lead Blackrock’s real estate needs planning working with internal management as well as building owners, contractors, brokers, and agents.
- Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations including OSHA, manufacturing standards, environmental, health, safety, and company standards.
- Supervise and manage all facilities staff including employees and external vendors (groundskeepers, technicians, custodians, etc.)
