Position Summary

This position assists with research study, experiments, preparation of material, and documentation.

 

Job Description

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Evaluates research results, reports findings and discusses project outcomes with staff involved.
  • Develops novel tasks to study human decision making.
  • Monitors and evaluates effectiveness of initiatives.
  • Develops computational modeling of behavioral and neural data from non-human primates and humans.
  • Collects and analyzes large data sets from research studies.
  • Collaborates with others to provide analysis and data visualizations.
  • Collaborates with other research labs that have data relevant to this lab’s research focus.
  • Complies with established safety procedures and maintains required documentation on laboratory and specimen conditions.
  • Performs library research on specified topics.

 

Working Conditions

This position works in a laboratory environment with potential exposure to biological and chemical hazards. The individual must be physically able to wear protective equipment and to provide standard care to research animals.

 

Preferred Qualifications

Demonstrated ability to implement general laboratory procedures, conduct research, and record findings, with a focus on pursuit of advanced education in field.

 

Required Qualifications

Equivalent of a bachelor’s degree with two to three years of experience in laboratory operations.

 

Grade: R07-H

Salary Range: $15.77 – $26.83 / Hourly

The salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University. Individual rates within the range will be determined by factors including one’s qualifications and performance, equity with others in the department, market rates for positions within the same grade and department budget.
