Dandelion is an advanced neurotechnology startup focused on developing transformative therapeutics. Founded in 2020 and based in Hoboken, NJ, Dandelion is funded by the National Institutes of Health (NIH). We are a small, nimble team conducting advanced research in an area that has the potential to help patients globally. We are looking for a Mid-Level Software Engineer to develop and maintain the core platform functionality. You will work with upper management to define software requirements and take the lead on operational and technical projects. Responsibilities include setting up tooling and infrastructure to allow integration and quick iteration on ML models and features. You should have excellent organization and problem-solving skills. If you have successful record of hands-on experience in software development and agile methodologies, we’d like to meet you. Your ultimate goal will be development of platform architecture and technical strategy.

Primary Responsibilities

• Development and maintenance of the core platform functionality
• Set up tooling and infrastructure to allow the team to integrate and quickly iterate on ML models and features
• Integration of research-grade software for data acquisition
• Real-time data processing
• Maintain high levels of production quality
• Development of the platform architecture and technical strategy

Requirements

• 4+ year of coding experience
• Proficiency in Python
• Experience with C/C++
• Degree in computer science or related field
• Good organizational, time management, and attention to detail
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Optional plus: Working with laboratory-grade hardware and hardware drivers (Unix / Windows)
• Optional plus: Real time data processing (MQTT, RabbitMQ, Kafka)
• Optional plus: Cloud services, integrating and deploying of machine learning models
• Optional plus: Previous experience with EEG, ECG or any other electro-magnetic diagnostic tests
• Optional plus: Ability to speak a second language

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $110,000.00 – $150,000.00 per year

Benefits: Health insurance;  Paid time off

Schedule: Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate: Hoboken, NJ 07030: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)

Education: Bachelor’s (Preferred)

Experience: Software: 5 years (Preferred);  Python: 5 years (Preferred)
