The Opportunity
We are looking for a mid to senior level Manufacturing Process Engineer with vision and boundless creativity to join our growing team in developing life-changing medical devices.
In this role, you will report to our Engineering Technical Lead and will be collaborating with R&D Engineering teams to create processes that facilitate the transfer of Class III Implantable medical devices into our manufacturing workflow. Our ideal candidate has experience acting as the primary process owner from first draft to implementation and appreciates the importance of ongoing monitoring and maintenance.
This is a full-time, salaried position starting immediately in our Salt Lake City office.
Key Qualifications
- BS Degree in relevant technical discipline
- 5+ years of relevant experience, including 3+ years working in a highly-regulated industry (medical, aerospace, military, etc)
- 3+ years of experience with thermoset molding (epoxy casting or silicone molding)
- Demonstrated experience utilizing Solidworks
- Experience and desire to work in a clean-room environment
Desired Qualifications
- Implantable electronics hermetic sealing and header manufacturing
- Laser welding and laser sealing process experience for implantable electronics
- Process validation of implantable devices
- Experience with implantable electronics and neural interface electrodes is a plus
- Academic knowledge or direct experience with implantable neuromodulation systems or implantable stimulators is a huge plus
