PathAI recently acquired Poplar Healthcare in Memphis, which is being re-branded as PathAI Diagnostics.  This position will be in Memphis at PathAI Diagnostics.  

We are looking for a highly motivated Accounting Manager that can help us achieve effective and efficient operational processes and scale our accounting function. This is a career developing opportunity for the right candidate to help build the finance function of a growing organization with the ability for the position to grow as the company grows.

Responsibilities

• Own the monthly close and financial reporting process for PathAI Diagnostics (journal entries, key accruals, reconciliations, financial reporting and fluctuation analysis)
• Coordinate with PathAI finance team for consolidation of subsidiary financial statements and the external financial statement audit
• In conjunction with the Corporate Controller, Diagnostics, lead effort to improve, automate, implement and document internal controls over financial processes and reporting, to support readiness in SOX-compliance
• Build scalable processes and policies, including implementation and/or integration of new systems on an ad hoc basis
• Perform payroll processing through ADP, including tax and withholding remittances, month end reconciliations and IRS reporting
• Oversee the accounts payable process; collaborate with purchasing manager to develop a streamlined process to move from manual payments to automated in bill.com
• Provide accounting and finance support for special projects and ad-hoc reporting and analysis as necessary
• Supervise a staff accountant initially, with plans to expand team with growth

Qualifications and Skills

• 5+ years of relevant experience
• 2 years’ experience in public accounting preferred
• CPA preferred
• Strong knowledge of internal controls and compliance
• Independent / flexible problem-solver with the ability to adapt as the business grows
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced team with changing priorities
• Strong communication, interpersonal and presentation skills to interact with various levels of management and build influential relationships with partners in the business
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Knowledge and experience with Quickbooks Online a plus; experience implementing a new general ledger system a plus
• Healthcare experience a plus
