We are looking for a commercially minded Business Development professional to join our UK Healthcare Commercial team and scale Huma’s digital solution powering better clinical research and better care. This is an exciting opportunity to support our commercial team with winning major clients and developing your career within business development.

By joining the UK Healthcare Commercial team, you will primarily contribute to the important key challenge of expanding use of Huma’s Hospital at Home products by supporting sales efforts and helping identify and drive opportunities, deals and tenders. In addition, you will also contribute to market, competitor and project analyses to further our positioning in the market.

 

Your mission

  • Scale Huma’s Hospital at Home across health systems in the UK (ICSs, Trusts, CCGs)
  • Support Huma’s Healthcare team with scouting prospective deals , and preparing proposals, tender and RFP responses, decks and workshops
  • Assist Huma’s Healthcare team with competitor and market analysis and other research
  • Develop a knowledge base and systematic approach to streamline responses to NHS and other healthcare tenders and RFPs
  • Support the development and collation of case studies and project evaluations for dissemination / use in sales 
  • Support critical aspects of deal development and execution, such as pricing, contract negotiation and closing
  • Maintain existing, and build new relationships with key stakeholders across the NHS / UK healthcare sector
  • Act as a strong contributor to the broader commercial growth strategy and team development
  • Interact with various functions and colleagues internally to drive forward the deal making process

 

From day one in this role we’ll expect you to have

  • 3+ years business development and/or management consulting experience in digital health or health-tech, preferably in B2B sales / sales support covering UK healthcare providers/payers
  • Bachelor’s degree or above, preferably in sciences or a related discipline
  • Knowledge of the UK NHS / healthcare landscape and digital innovation in healthcare
  • Strong commercial acumen – naturally energised by delivering a contract and revenue target
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

 

It’s great, but not required, if you have

  • Previously sold Hospital at Home Solutions into the NHS / healthcare providers
  • Management consulting experience in healthcare
  • Proven business development experience with SaaS solutions​​
  • Knowledge of and experience with CRM tools/platforms and ability to utilise the CRM tool provided to manage contacts and opportunities
