Accounting Associate

The Accounting Associate role offers a great opportunity for the ideal candidate to make an immediate impact in our fast-growing organization.  Reporting to the Corporate Controller, you will play an important role in the development of the finance function, including streamlining processes, implementing/leveraging technology, and enhancing internal controls.  You will be responsible for full cycle accounts payable.  You will work closely with our Finance, Sales, Customer Service, and Operations teams as we build tools and reports to scale transaction processing and optimize processes.

Responsibilities:

• Process 3-way matches and/or obtain approvals for vendor bills; research vendor inquiries and process credit memos
• Propose and process weekly disbursements and collaborate on cash flow forecasts
• Assist with timely and accurate filing of annual Form 1099s
• Assist with vendor maintenance
• Maintain the contract database and assist in preparing certain contracts
• Participate in the month/quarter-end close processes, including ensure assigned transactions have been recorded, accounts reconciled, and reporting completed on a timely basis
• Analyze monthly/quarterly results of certain accounts against prior period, operating plan and/or forecast
• Prepare schedules and support the external audits and reviews
• Participate in and/or lead projects as assigned

Requirements:

• Minimum of 4 years of relevant work experience
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred
• Experience with larger ERP systems; NetSuite preferred
• Intermediate to advanced Excel skills and proficiency with other Microsoft Office programs
• Experience in a manufacturing or product environment company
• Ability to work autonomously
• Excellent organizational, verbal and written skills
• Ability to work with multiple departments on projects and to resolve issues
• Accuracy and thoroughness are essential
