What you will do:
As a member of our international project team you will be responsible for the development of complex medical software applications for Neuro, Spine, and ENT application. You will design software components with UML and create, document and test components of existing and future software in C++/Qt and QML/JavaScript. You will develop a high level of understanding of different medical procedures and how we best deliver the right solutions to our customers and patients. You will have the opportunity to visit customers and work with marketing to deliver the best software solutions.
- Plan and conduct engineering research, design, development and/or manufacturing engineering projects as assigned
- Will monitor and control progress of projects to ensure sound application of engineering principles are used and design intent is being followed/achieved
- Collaborate with electrical (hardware) engineers to define microprocessor and interface requirements.
- Collaborate with other software engineers to develop protocols and interfaces for multi-processor environments.
- Interface with Quality Assurance Department to guide the development of software verification tests.
- Provide input to project management on scheduling, milestone achievement, and project challenges.
- Will submit periodic reports on assigned topics to appropriate personnel
- Will train others on functionally related topics
- Will evaluate the results of projects and provide manufacturing guidance/assistance as needed
What You Will Need:
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering/ Computer Science or related discipline
- 4+ years of experience in coding with C++
- Linux system programming experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong familiarity with Qt5+ and QML based designs with QtQuick
- Knowledge of database SQL programming
- Embedded Linux experience (working with Yocto based build systems and BSPs for IMx6 or 8 processors)
- Knowledge of multithreaded application concepts
- Familiarity with shell scripting
- Experience with CMake or Meson
