Here is more detail about what you’ll be doing:
Product Management Strategy
- Develop and own product roadmap and go-to-market strategies for our products to drive growth within the life sciences market including product release planning/execution, market sizing, customer segmentation, competitive analysis, feature definition, and deal pipeline.
- Lay out strategy for increase and variations of our product pricing based on our product portfolio and platform, buyer and customer needs & journeys, and market trends.
- Collaborate with our R&D leaders on decisions for product features, optimal product configurations, pricing and product introductions through a Product Development Process.
- Present customer and industry insights to the leadership team to facilitate conversations around product roadmap and opportunities.
- Gather Voice of Customer and other insights; and work closely with development teams to implement learnings into software product requirements.
- Lead other product management team and marketing team members to keep them inspired, motivated and growing in their roles.
Product Marketing:
- Provide direction, leadership, development and support to drive messaging, positioning, GTM plans, sales enablement materials & training and community support.
- Marketing program leadership. Develop marketing plans for our products in conjunction with our marketing team, including key activities and budgets to support the retention of existing customers and drive demand for our product. This could include white papers, case studies, webinars, conferences, e.g. Measure impact of these efforts.
- Act as product evangelist by communicating the product vision both internally and externally. This includes facilitating sales training and creating collateral for sales staff and speaking at industry events. Ensure product messaging is consistent across different channels.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree. Additional degrees in business or life sciences are a plus.
- 5+ years of experience in a product marketing and/or 5+ years in product management with at least 3+ years in a leadership role. Candidates with more experience are encouraged to apply.
- Experience in leading small teams and ability to lead with curiosity and humility
- Experience with a start-up or growing product is highly desirable.
- Thrives in a collaborative environment and uses a consultative approach with customers and colleagues.
- Strong communication skills with an ability to present to others in a way that builds trust and positive relationships.
- Experience working in cross-functional teams and the ability to influence across all levels of the organization
- Available for up to 25% business travel.
Other Job Details:
- Reporting to the Chief Commercial Officer, this role offers upward visibility and growth.
- Location: Strong preference to be located in Mountain View, CA – part onsite- part remote.
